Julius Stabiak

Julius Stabiak (1917 - 1973) was active/lived in Poland.  Julius Stabiak is known for Landscape painting.

An artist associated with the artistic community of Krakow. He learned painting under the auspices of Wojciech Kossak, finding work as an assistant in his studio. He created primarily in oil. His work is dominated by landscapes, forest views, often enlivened by pieces of staffage, and Krakow motifs. A significant part of his oeuvre consists of genre scenes set in the realities of villages near Krakow: depictions of modest peasant farmsteads, wooden churches, carts and rakish riders, as well as Krakow weddings in colorful folk costumes. His works, painted with great verve and using a slightly subdued color range, reveal an impressionistic sensitivity to light and color.
